At 5 Craigie Circle in Cambridge, Key Tech completed ButterflyMX access-control work across multiple numbered building entrances. The project focused on bringing more consistent, controlled access to a property with several distinct entry doors while preserving the existing wood, glass, and architectural details at each location.
Coordinated access across multiple entrances
Properties with several entry points require more than a secure front door. Every controlled entrance must work as part of the same daily access plan so residents are not forced to manage a different routine at each door. The completed work at 5 Craigie Circle supports a more coordinated approach to entry across the building.
ButterflyMX provides a cloud-based platform that can connect property access across multiple doors. Depending on the permissions assigned by management, authorized users can enter through approved credentials while staff can manage access without relying exclusively on traditional keys and manual lock changes.
Access control integrated with existing door hardware
The project media shows work at several numbered entrances with different door configurations. Rather than replacing the architectural doors, the access-control components were integrated around the existing hardware. That approach helps preserve the appearance of the property while adding the controlled locking and release functions required for a modern entry system.
